From the 4. – February 5, 2026 ASSD takes part in the Stay Wyse in Budapest.
Kai Niedermeyer and Anna-Lena Rösler will represent ASSD at Stay Wyse in Budapest. Every year, Stay Wyse brings together the players in the youth travel and hostel industry and a pioneering exchange takes place between all those involved, whether hostels, technology providers, tour operators, service providers, etc.
The latest trends and developments will be presented in workshops, panel discussions and seminars. We will meet long-standing business partners and potential customers, fellow hostel industry players and are looking forward to the Stay Wyse in Budapest and, as always, a lively exchange.
The year 2026 is off to a great start – ASSD is now a member of Reisenetz, the German professional association for child and youth travel. We are very much looking forward to the future cooperation and lively exchange!
Safe travel for children and young people requires trust in quality – the Travel Network is one of the most active and largest networks in this area. Its members come from all areas of the industry. Together, they are particularly concerned about safe travel for children and young people.
The mission statement of the travel network speaks for itself:
“The members of Reisenetz are an independent network of commercial and non-profit organizations from Germany and abroad. We offer services for children and youth travel as tour operators, providers of educational programs, accommodation, transport companies, insurance or as consultants. Our members work in partnership with each other and the exchange of ideas between colleagues is important to us. We work for sustainable, educationally responsible travel for children and young people and create spaces for positive, development-promoting experiences. We advocate cultural diversity and the participation of all children and young people in children’s and youth travel.
Xenophobia and any kind of discrimination, especially against marginalized groups, is at odds with our international, cosmopolitan and democratic self-image. Compliance with and implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is a very important goal for us. A particular focus is on the prevention of sexualized violence in child and youth travel.
We are committed to fair competition and sensible legal framework conditions. We continuously support the professionalization of travel for children and young people and set binding standards for the quality of our members’ offers.”
Congratulations on eight years with the company, Alexandra Salazar!
Since November 2017 Alexandra is an important and consistent team member of ASSD Hospitality Management Software for hostels and hotels. As she used to work for many years in several Berlin hostels working with the ASSD software, Alex knew all ASSD systems very well from the beginning. She is one of ASSD top staff in support, is very committed to software roll-out, is also one of our training experts and creates the content of our ASSD You Tube channel.
In her private life, Alexandra is an absolute soccer and Formula 1 fan and will go to heaven and hell to see a Bruce Springsteen concert live. She also enjoys traveling, baking amazing cakes and can hardly say no to a good book.
A thousand thanks for your great work, we really appreciate your professionalism and commitment. Here’s to the next eight (or even better eighty :-)) years!
From November 4 to 6, 2025, the World Travel Mart WTM will take place in London and ASSD Hotel and Hostel Software will be there as an exhibitor.

Come by and let us show you our web-based software for hotels and hostels with web check-in, housekeeping app, unique group handling, numerous automated processes such as room allocation and much more. And while you’re there, enjoy one of our delicious coffees.
Please contact Kai directly for appointments: kai.niedermeyer[at]assd.com.
Today we want to take a look behind the scenes at ASSD and introduce one of our valued employees, as we celebrate the fifth anniversary of our colleague Alexander Noppenberger. He is a Senior Developer and joined our team exactly five years ago.
At the moment, Alex is mainly working on a functionality concerning automatic e-mails. As soon as an e-mail is placed in a special folder, the ASSD PMS automatically knows what to answer or which PMS response to make. Ingenious!
Alexander Noppenberger’s hobbies include restoring old games consoles and programming in his spare time – true passion knows no bounds :-). Alex is also a big fan of long-distance travel, which he undertakes together with his Colombian wife. And as soon as he has some time left over, he brushes up on his Spanish.
Alex, we are very happy to have you on the team and look forward to the next five years with you. Thank you for your active support!
The ASSD PMS now offers the great option of creating customer logins for event organizers and corporate customers. Customers can use the CRSdirect tool to book their contract rates and previously agreed allotments directly.
Depending on whether it is a room booking or a larger group, there are four different options for entering the number of rooms or guests. There is also a wide range of configuration options available.
A great, digital facilitation for the front office and the reservation department as well as for your contract partners.
For individual travelers, online check-in has been a much-used standard for years. Now our new additional web check-in, which has been specially developed for large groups, has been expanded and completed.
This new product offers a simple solution to inform the booking guest about the room layout (without disclosing the actual room numbers). If necessary, the gender breakdown is also indicated.
A few days before arrival, the group leader receives a tool with which the personal data of the participants can be recorded very easily, either directly online or via upload/download with Excel. It creates a room list, a registration form if necessary and in future will also offer the option of transmitting catering requests such as allergies etc.
Easter is known to be a harbinger of the colorful spring.
It’s also a time for announcements for ASSD in 2025. You will soon receive a newsletter with details of our brand new features such as the simplified interface for quick check-in and the launch of the ASSD tool for comprehensive seminar management (rooms, courses, lecturers, etc.).
You will also receive detailed information about the Group Web Check-In, which makes life much easier for school classes and group travelers of all kinds.
Look forward to our spring news soon and in the meantime, have a wonderful break, a happy Easter and a successful Easter egg hunt!
From April 1 to 3, 2025, the North American Hostel Association Conference NAHA will take place in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. ASSD Hotel and Hostel Software is a participant and sponsor of this young, very promising event on North American territory.
NAHA’s mission is to bring the hostel industry closer together and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience. Naha will act as a source of ideas and inspiration, and will promote technologies and establish cooperation. In short, strong networking at all levels is the central focus.
Kai Niedermeyer, International Sales Manager and Anna-Lena Rösler, Senior Developer and Consultant will be representing ASSD GmbH and all ASSD software products at NAHA. They are looking forward to making lots of new contacts and seeing many familiar faces again.
