    Zugferd (e-bill)

ZUGFeRD (European Norm EN 16931) stands for “Zentraler User Guide des Forums elektronische Rechnung Deutschland”. It is a standardized, hybrid data format for electronic invoices (e-invoices). ZUGFeRD combines the advantages of two worlds in a single document:

    1. Visual (PDF): A document that looks like a normal invoice to humans and is legible.
    2. Machine-readable (XML): An XML file containing all invoice data in structured form is embedded in the background. Accounting systems can read and process this data fully automatically without having to type in values manually.

    The most important advantages:

    • Automation: Elimination of manual data entry – saves time and minimizes transmission errors
    • Legal compliance: Meets the legal requirements for modern e-invoices
    • Flexibility: The file name for e-mail and download is .zpf.pdf. This allows the user to see straight away that it is an eInvoice, even if they do not yet use automated accounting software themselves

    Google Hotel Center Partner

ASSD is a Google Hotel Center Partner. More online visibility, more direct bookings, less dependence on third-party providers.

For customers who use our ASSD CRS web booking system, this means that the prices on their official website are visible and bookable on all classic Google pages (Google search engine, Google Maps, etc.).

This maximum increase in online visibility reduces dependence on third-party providers (OTAs etc.) and commission payments and leads to more direct bookings.

  • NAHA Montréal

    NAHA Montréal

The NAHA conference will take place in Montréal from April 28 – 30, 2026. The annual meeting of the North American Hostel Association is the most important event for the North American hostel industry.

Hostel operators as well as employees and partners from the industry meet in person to discuss the key issues facing the sector. These discussions and exchanges are incredibly important given all the challenges and changes facing tourism in general and hostels in particular.

The NAHA conference creates space to connect with like-minded people, to listen, to share, to learn and last but not least, to celebrate the wonderful and very worthy hostel industry.

Anna-Lena Rösler and Adrian Lopez are taking part in NAHA 2026 for ASSD Hotel and Hostel Software. ASSD GmbH is also sponsoring the joint trip to Québec that follows the event in Montréal.

We wish all participants, organizers and of course our Anna and Adrian every success, good luck and a fantastic time together with the North American hostel industry.

  • Happy Birthday

    Happy Birthday

Today we would like to wish a very special team member a very happy birthday: Adrian Lopez!

Adrian started as a working student at ASSD GmbH a few years ago and has been a permanent member of the ASSD development team since successfully completing his Master’s degree at the end of 2024.

As Adrian is interested in all areas and processes within the company and is always open to new ideas, he occasionally takes part in events or trade fairs.

In many ways, Adrian lives up to his Mexican heritage: he adores Mexican cuisine, finds food without spiciness rather pointless and loves the combination of lime and salt.

Adrian is less Mexican when it comes to the weather: he has absolutely no problem with winter and the cold. On the contrary, as soon as the temperatures are above freezing, he gets shorts and T-shirts out of the wardrobe.

We at ASSD are very happy that Adrian is part of the team, he is an asset in every respect 🤩.

Many thanks, dear Adrian, and best wishes for your birthday today!

  • A warm welcome

    A warm welcome

Our team has grown: we cordially welcome Bernhard Zirngibl on board the ASSD team and look forward to working with him.

Bernhard has been supporting us since April 1, 2026 as Customer Success Manager in onboarding our new customers and supporting our existing customers.

With his experience in consulting and customer service for companies with complex software systems, he will be a perfect addition to our team.

We wish you a great start and much success with the upcoming projects!

  • Heavenly hostels

    Heavenly hostels

The annual conference and general meeting of the Heavenly Hostels took place in Pappenheim from March 17-19, 2026.

ASSD had the opportunity to present our software and technologies to the 300 members at the conference.

We would like to thank you for the invitation, the many interesting discussions and the stimulating exchange.

The heavenly hostels (we absolutely adore their name) describe themselves as follows:

The Heavenly Hostels are an association of guesthouses that maintain a Christian profile. If you are planning a trip, you are sure to find the right room in one of the Heavenly Hostels, whether you are looking for a cozy self-catering house, a youth hostel, a family recreation center, a conference house or a hotel.

They are often located in special places and are often perceived as “places of power” that are good for body and soul.

Thank you Pappenheim and thank you dear Himmlische Herbergen for the warm welcome and the great conversations. See you next time!

  • Work and Age

    Work and Age

50+ (and some of us feel that :-)) is not old. On the contrary: 30 years of experience, a cool head in crises and a huge network are priceless.

At best, you have learned on your journey towards 50+ that true strength lies in combining experience with curiosity and continuing to learn every day – especially from the young talents in the team.

We at ASSD are a very stable, reliable mixed-age team and everyone benefits from the know-how and expertise of the others. It’s a wonderfully effective exchange and a fantastic way to work together.

Many thanks to the entire ASSD team from the 50+ Claudia

  • Workiversary

    Workiversary

We are extremely happy about Anna-Lena Rösler’s company anniversary!

We got to know her eight years ago as a working student and now she has been one of the main pillars of the ASSD hotel and hostel management software for six years.

    Anna-Lena Rösler

Anna is a mathematician, a bright mind with great analytical skills and a wonderful versatility.

In addition to her job, she loves to travel and cook and knows just about everything there is to know about wine and food. She is also an incomparable sports enthusiast and cycles several thousand kilometers every year!

Anna is also an absolute family person, loves spending time with her friends and is always ready to try out new places in the city. Anyone who knows her is very lucky – she’s a wonderful person and when you’re out and about with her, a good time is inevitable.

It’s just great to have you with us, Anna. Thank you!
