Exactly one year ago, on November 1, 2024, Kai Niedermeyer became a member of the ASSD family and no one can recall what it was like without him. He enriches the team with authenticity, good spirit and great fun as well as an open ear as trusted person for his colleagues.
Kai does a brilliant job as Head of Sales and loves (quote) “hunting and closing new customers”.
Besides ASSD, Kai loves spending time with his family and is a devoted father of two boys, making sure he doesn’t miss a single of their Basketball Games. He is a bit of a petrol head, loves cooking and good food as well as good wine – no wonder and almost a must, as he is half French. On top, he likes travelling and to see the world.
Many thanks, Kai, for your inspiring commitment, your support and your incomparable and indispensable contribution.
Congratulations on eight years with the company, Alexandra Salazar!
Alexandra joined the team of the ASSD Hospitality Management Software for Hostels and Hotels on November 1, 2017. Right from the start she has known the software inside out as Alexandra used to work for various Berlin hostels driven by the ASSD PMS. As a result, she is one of our top first-responders in support, is actively involved in the software roll-out, gives ASSD training courses and creates the posts on our ASSD YouTube channel.
In her private life, Alexandra is an absolute soccer and Formula 1 fan and will go to heaven and hell to see a Bruce Springsteen concert live. She also enjoys traveling, baking amazing cakes and can hardly say no to a good book.
A thousand thanks for your great work, we really appreciate your professionalism and commitment. Here’s to the next eight (or even better eighty :-)) years!

Today we want to take a look behind the scenes at ASSD and introduce one of our valued employees, as we celebrate the fifth anniversary of our colleague Alexander Noppenberger. He is a Senior Developer and joined our team exactly five years ago.
At the moment, Alex is mainly working on a functionality concerning automatic e-mails. As soon as an e-mail is placed in a special folder, the ASSD PMS automatically knows what to answer or which PMS response to make. Ingenious!
Alexander Noppenberger’s hobbies include restoring old games consoles and programming in his spare time – true passion knows no bounds :-). Alex is also a big fan of long-distance travel, which he undertakes together with his Colombian wife. And as soon as he has some time left over, he brushes up on his Spanish.
Alex, we are very happy to have you on the team and look forward to the next five years with you. Thank you for your active support!
As a sponsor of the non-profit Munich association Lesefüchse e.V., ASSD GmbH was invited to take part in its 17th reading festival as an honorary reader.
The event took place at the Grünwald Forest Experience Center, just outside Munich. 200 children from various elementary school traveled to the event and spent a wonderful morning in and with nature.
Claudia Stolz read from Marianne Hofmann’s book “Die kleine Birke” on behalf of ASSD. Other sponsors and honorary readers were the St. Michaelsbund media house and the Munich police, who were the absolute highlight for the children with several chief marshals, a chief inspector and the vice president as well as the reading fox.

Language is the basis of everything we do (not just programming languages :-)). That is why it is very important to us to awaken a love of books, reading and stories.
The ASSD PMS is a powerful, extremely flexible and comprehensive software that has a solution for almost every eventuality. This diversity naturally means that some inexperienced or new reception staff may feel overwhelmed by our all-rounder PMS at first glance.
We now offer a solution for precisely this: Front Desk Easy for fast check-in. This is a very simple, clear input screen that makes it easier for your receptionists to check in guests. They are guided through the process in short, easy-to-understand steps without being distracted or confused by the multitude of other features, windows and applications.
Our Front Desk Easy will be available soon. We will keep you up to date.
The ASSD PMS now offers the great option of creating customer logins for event organizers and corporate customers. Customers can use the CRSdirect tool to book their contract rates and previously agreed allotments directly.
Depending on whether it is a room booking or a larger group, there are four different options for entering the number of rooms or guests. There is also a wide range of configuration options available.
A great, digital facilitation for the front office and the reservation department as well as for your contract partners.
From April 1 to 3, 2025, the North American Hostel Association Conference NAHA will take place in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. ASSD Hotel and Hostel Software is a participant and sponsor of this young, very promising event on North American territory.
NAHA’s mission is to bring the hostel industry closer together and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience. Naha will act as a source of ideas and inspiration, and will promote technologies and establish cooperation. In short, strong networking at all levels is the central focus.
Kai Niedermeyer, International Sales Manager and Anna-Lena Rösler, Senior Developer and Consultant will be representing ASSD GmbH and all ASSD software products at NAHA. They are looking forward to making lots of new contacts and seeing many familiar faces again.
