How To: Update (please READ this)

It is strongly recommended that you make a backup of the whole 
ASSD Reservation and Booking program. Especially you should backup 
your idividually created reports, letters and own data of the 
customizing tool. 

Updates from one version to another e.g. 1.4.x to 1.5.x have to be 
installed with the setup program in the directoy of the old installation 
(a replacement of the executable .exe is NOT sufficient). Before 
updating ALL reservation programs on ALL workstations within a 
network have to be exited. After the setup process, the program 
has to be started on one work station. Please be patient for 
some time as the database will being updated. 

Updates are NOT cumulative. Therefore you need to do all updates on a row 
step by step! To update from version 1.3 to 1.5 the update to 1.4 
has to be completed first as described above. After that, the program is 
ready for the next update to version 1.5.

Small corrections e.g. from version 1.4.x to version 1.4.y may be 
installed as described above or simply by overwriting the executable rb.exe. 
These small corrections are cumulative. So e.g. 1.4.8 contains all 
minor changes since 1.4.0.
