General Data Protection Regulation GDPR

General Data Protection Regulation GDPR

The new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will apply from 25 May 2018. The regulation agreed upon by the European Parliament addresses the EU-wide standardization of processing personal data via private enterprises and public authorities. It was established to protect personal data within the European Union as well as to ensure free data movement within the European Internal Market.

Our customers got detailled information on the necessary modifications and new features related to the Property Management System ASSD PMS, the ASSD Channel Manager and the Web Booking Engine ASSD CRS that were implemented by ASSD to meet the new regulations.

Agreement on commissioned data processing

Due to GDPR companies have to conclude an agreement with external service providers who process or save personal data they are working with. It does not matter whether external service providers actually work with the data. There has to be a written agreement on commissioned data processing as soon as a third party theoretically has access to personal data of a natural person.

Note for our customers: please request the agreement on commissioned data processing in case you have not received it yet (c.stolz[at]assd.com).
