On 20th and 21st July 2017, the ASSD Teams Bulgaria and Germany had a wonderful teammeeting in beautiful Bulgaria. After we all gathered in Sofia and Plovdiv we went to Devin in the Rhodope Mountains. It is in Smolyan Province, one of the most southern provinces of Bulgaria, only a couple of kilometres from the Greek border.
The beautiful landscape and scenery impressed us deeply. As did our visits to two nearby caves: Yagodina Cave with a constant inside temperature of 6 degrees (we had around 32 degrees outside) left us freezing and stunning. Warm again, we went on through Trigrad Gorge and finally reached our second cave, the mysterious Devil’s Throat Cage. There are many fascinating and also tragic stories about this place, which is absolutely worth visiting!
Our highlight the next day was a short ride with a balloon and afterwards a bungee jump out of that balloon. Good news: everyone survived and got quite some supplementary adrenalin for the rest of the day.
We couldn’t have returned any happier to our workplaces and projects and look forward already to our next meeting :-)!
